Assistant Director of Student Advocacy

Victor Lemus serves as the Assistant Director of Student Advocacy for the LEAD Scholars Program at 91影视, where he walks alongside first-generation college students to support their academic success, personal well-being, and sense of belonging. 

Originally from Guatemala and raised in Los Angeles, Victor earned his bachelor's degree from Loyola Marymount University before finding his way to 91影视 through graduate studies in Pastoral Ministries. Before working in higher education, he spent time in commercial real estate and the nonprofit sector, including Homeboy Industries, where his passion for accompanying and advocating for others took root. 
 
Before joining LEAD, Victor served in Campus Ministry, where he developed retreats and justice-focused programs grounded in reflection, service, and community. 
 
Victor is the proud youngest sibling to Alan and Karen, son of Victor and Miriam, and husband to his wonderful wife, Katie! Outside of work, Victor enjoys good coffee and food, planes and airports, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, meaningful conversations, and any opportunity to spend time in his happy place—Maui.
