Kevin staszkow
Deacon Kevin Staszkow draws upon many years of parish catechetical leadership and extensive experience accompanying and mentoring pastoral leaders. He has held numerous leadership positions for the Diocese of Sacramento including Director of Evangelization and Catechesis and Director of Family, Faith Formation and Young People where he emphasizes collaboration with diverse ministries and produces "On Fire," an annual gathering he conceived that unites 2,500 teens from nine Northern California dioceses. His academic background includes a B.A. in Philosophy from UC Berkeley, an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Holy Names University, graduate work in Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University, and diaconate formation through the University of Notre Dame McGrath Institute for Church Life. In the classroom, his pedagogy bridges academic theology with the daily realities of parish life, facilitating an emotionally safe and mission-focused environment that practically integrates pastoral collaboration. An ordained deacon for eight years, he has been married to his wife, Paula, for 20 years and is the father of two young adult daughters.
