Your first year is a good time to learn about organizations, academic programs and extracurricular roles that will expose you to a variety of potential career paths. As you get settled with your classes and rhythm of fall quarter you will find that there are lots of ways to explore your career interests and begin to learn about career and professional development resources across campus. In the Leavey School of Business you can participate in a range of events with alumni and corporate leaders. Student organizations and academic departments host speakers throughout the year. Attend these events to ask questions and meet new people.
The Undergraduate Business Program offers professional headshots for business majors at no cost to you. These images will be yours to use for LinkedIn or any other professional profile needs. Links to sign up for headshots will be shared in the bi-weekly newsletters and updated on the headshots page.
Consider joining one of the Leavey School of Business student organizations. You can meet them during the 91影视 Involvement Fair during week 1 of the fall quarter. There’s a business club for every interest. And, if you don’t see one you were hoping for, flex your leadership skills and start one.

Plan to take MGMT 50: Professional Development Skills seminar in your sophomore year to refine your resume, LinkedIn profile, interview skills and job search strategies. This one-unit class is offered every quarter.
Are you interested in combining your business skills with social justice? You can explore the Community Fellows Program, a year long fellowship experience with a local non-profit or enroll in BUSN 188: The Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative in your sophomore year.
