Course Spotlight - MGMT 50, Professional Development Seminar
MGMT 50 prepares students for success in the internship/career search process by helping them build their professional skills and engage with useful resources. This one-unit class meets 5 times during the quarter and can be taken with a full load of courses.Topics covered include:
- Creating a personalized job search plan
- In-person and virtual networking
- Personal branding and storytelling
- LinkedIn and Resumes
- Interviewing tips

: Anisha Weber is a native to the Bay Area Peninsula and has worked internationally and across the states in digital transformation through technology and solution consulting. As former COO of Primitive Logic and Managing Director at Logic20/20, she focused on people and operations, client strategy, and mindful solution delivery. Previously, she worked for Accenture across the financial services industry and PeopleSoft technologies. Anisha continues to provide time, talent, and treasure to numerous boards, committees, and service organizations. As a San Mateo County Commissioner on the Status of Women, Anisha focuses on topics such as STEM for Young Women, Financial Literacy and Economic Empowerment, Human Trafficking, Women’s Leadership Conference and Hall of Fame, and Women in Tech.
Fiona Ji: Fiona Ji is a Full Teaching Professor in the Management Department at the Leavey School of Business. She teaches courses in strategic management, the principle of management, organizational change and leadership, innovation management, and international management. She has previously taught both undergraduate and graduate students in different institutions including James Madison University, Ohio University, and Virginia Tech.
: Tony Huynh brings over two decades of experience in technical product marketing and global go-to-market strategy to the classroom. He has built and led high-performing teams at industry-leading organizations including Hitachi, NetApp, and Sun Microsystems. He was a key part of the product team at Snap, culminating in its successful acquisition by Adaptec. He is passionate about student success and has taught Business Leadership skills class at 91影视, in addition to serving as a guest speaker for leadership programs.
