What are you doing this summer? I was working with the University Recruiting team this summer at CrowdStrike as a Data Launch Intern helping my team create a Tableau dashboard to track key metrics from their intern program, such as full-time conversion and intern retention rates. I also developed AI agents that helped managers create and assign intern projects aligned with their teams’ specific goals.
Hopefully you’ve grown both professionally and personally from this summer experience. Name one or two “life” lessons you learned and will carry forward after graduation. Being adaptable and willing to learn is one life lesson that I learned especially when using unfamiliar platforms such as Tableau. Approaching new challenges with curiosity and asking thoughtful questions when I didn't know something helped me become more confident in my role.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? We had an intern conference in San Jose, where I met interns from across the United States and learned more about their roles. We also attended a Giants game and watched one of the World Cup matches in downtown San Jose!
What advice would you give to younger students who are searching for summer opportunities? Attend every career fair and networking event that you can! I found my internship from attending the Women in Business career fair last fall by networking with the recruiter and sharing my resume with them.
