Noah Ayora
MFT Trainee

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Noah approaches therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, curiosity, and genuine human connection.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, he strives to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable bringing their full selves into the room. He approaches each client with empathy and curiosity, recognizing that people’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, families, cultures, identities, and environments. Rather than viewing therapy as something a therapist “does” to a client, Noah works alongside clients to better understand their concerns, identify and explore patterns that may be affecting their lives, and develop practical tools that support greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence.

Noah’s background in psychology, education, and community work has shaped his interest in the ways relationships, culture, and community influence mental health and well-being. Some of his clinical interests include identity development, self-esteem and self-worth, relationships and intimacy, family and cultural expectations, life transitions, and emotional regulation. He is particularly interested in working with individuals who may be exploring questions of identity, belonging, connection, or how past experiences influence the way they relate to themselves and others.

Noah takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing approaches primarily from CBT, psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based practices. He believes therapy should be a space for reflection and a place where clients can develop tangible skills that support meaningful change. His approach is culturally responsive and grounded in respect for each client’s unique lived experience.

Prior to entering clinical training, Noah worked in education and community-based settings, where he supported students and families, facilitated conflict-resolution conversations, connected families with community resources, and helped create opportunities for greater community engagement. These experiences deepened his understanding of the importance of meeting people where they are and recognizing the strengths they already bring with them. Noah earned his B.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University, and is currently pursuing his M.A. in Counseling Psychology at 91影视.

Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on walks with his dog, exploring local farmer’s markets and trying out new restaurants and coffee shops as a self-proclaimed foodie.
